Our Assessor is hurting our cities
I had a discussion with one of our county mayors and he expressed frustration that the Assessor's office is not getting them the Assessment data. It is now about 4 months behind and the Assessor is telling them it is due to a computer change over.
We have a situation where the Assessor isn't even getting the basics of the office done. In the business world in doing a cut over you typically run the old and new systems side by side until you know you can completely cut over. The fact that the Assessor 's office is so far behind schedule demonstrates that typical business processes and procedures are not being utilized in the office.
This failure by the office is hurting our cities and hurting our citizens as they try to plan. The Cities of Clark County are not happy.
